about

I wrote this song when I was just about to leave Texas. I was thrilled to be getting out of College Station, but there were also some things/people I knew I would miss. There are other themes as well, but what's the fun in giving them all away?

lyrics

We've been up and down these roads,
Seen where all the good ones go,
And how few of those there are.
We've been to every goddamn place,
Seen each and every wretched face in this town.
Again and again and again and again.

And I won't stick around.
I can't figure it out.

It's happened to me one too many times.
Still can't find the reason why.
I'm sorry that I'm so fucking unsatisfied.
You'll tell all your nosy friends
Before our time together ends
'Cause they've all gotta know.

And I won't stay tonight.
I just don't feel right.

Know everything, no nothing
No everything, Know nothing too.
