about

This song was written by Jason Harrison. It was a Lowbrow tune, but it did show up as a hidden track on the audica EP. It even made it onto the local radio in College Station.

lyrics

Three days ago, a quarter past
Time to talk about it,
Legs are already walkin' down.
But fuck it all; burn the miles.
I've got a lighter
And nothing to do at home.

And you know I'm not religious.
I'm even less superstitious
About ladders or cracked mirrors,
Black cats in my stride.
I've known em all since I was a child.

I bit my tongue and rolled around.
Are you there; are you there?
I had a dream.
There were cracked doors,
Humming sounds, roads in all directions.
Just a sign pointing back at me.

And you know I'm not uncivil,
But I'm concerned about the frequency of the visits
From ladders and cracked mirrors, black cats in my stride.
I wish they'd talk back every once in a while.
